La fontaine et l'ancien lavoir faubourg Saint-Jean sont située au milieu du faubourg Saint-Jean. L'eau arrive par un simple tuyau en zinc. Autour d'elle, se trouvait un lavoir dont il ne reste plus que l'enceinte. L'ensemble a été restauré en 1856. Ce lavoir et cette fontaine existaient sous l'ancien régime.
