Ce lavoir se trouve sur une place enherbée dans le hameau de Bézornay. Les lavandières apportaient leur planche à laver qu'elles accrochaient au bord du bassin. Le hameau s'est développé autour du doyenné saint Pierre (11ème siècle) de l'abbaye de Cluny à 10 km. On y découvre encore enceinte, tour, chapelle sainte Agathe et son abside en encorbellement, arcatures murales...
